About The Event
This course will be taught over four two hour evening periods (Jan 11th & 13th, and then Jan 18th & 20th). The sessions will be conducted via Microsoft Teams with participant interaction throughout the sessions, and within the team between sessions. All course materials and references are included. The course is highly practical, in that all of the theory discussion is linked to practical application of the principles.
The course is ideal for aspirant guides or leaders in any adventure sport, but also as general CPD or anyone wishing to gain a deeper understanding of the principles and theory of sound leadership. The course requires some self-analysis and will challenge your understanding of both leadersip principles and your understanding of your own leadership style.
Successful completion of three guide modules will allow you to register with British Canoeing as an aspirant guide. Each module also provides 18 months of British Canoeing CPD. The course fee includes all British Canoeing fees.
Sea Kayak Argyll & Bute can deliver all five of the modules, and provide mentorship through the process, including the final guide sign off.
